Is this hard to do? I have no experience in creating any type of home landscaping? How long does it take for a mold to set?
- This is fairy simple to do, it comes with an instruction manual and we assign a consultant to each one of our customers should they have any questions.( they can have a look at your project and offer tailored advice). With quick setting cement it takes about 4-5 minutes per mold. Please have a look at our reviews on our facebook comments and website before purchasing. Heres one:
I live in a very cold place, will my patio or driveway heave and experience frost damage?
Concrete has a lot of durability compared to pavers, especially when it's been sectioned into little puzzle blocks. About 30% of our customers are from Canada and have built beautiful projects that have lasted for years.
In the worst case scenario of a ground tremor or earthquake lift It would still separate in little sections picture attached.
Can I use the PathMaker Mold over an existing driveway/ Patio?
- Yes since you already have a level based as opposed to uneven dirt ground, its a lot easier, what is required to make it adhere properly would be to use a pressure hose or a PathMaker water gun that we also sell to wash the old concrete after that to use a liquid bonding agent like Fast Set Cement Patcher on the old concrete that helps bond new concrete to it. The most effective way to ensure that the bonding agent gets into the existing concrete is to apply it directly using a brush or rag. It can be sprayed if you happen to have a sprayer. Although the directions say that you can use it as part of the mix water, direct application works better.
How many Molds can fill one bag of concrete?
-We get this question a lot, while it is hard to give an accurate estimation of this based on various factors since as the size of the mold, the consistency and mix of concrete, whether its a 60lb or 80lb bag, We have listed a table below that provides an estimation for our European Grid Block Mold and Standard Signature country stone pattern.
There are a lot of imitation Molds being sold which differ drastically in terms of standard and quality, there are a lot of cheap plastic versions of our Mold being sold out there but there is only one PathMaker. Our Molds are made from a special polypropylene compound that will allow your Mold to be used for years to come.
